Questions About Your Visit

Below are some commonly asked questions regarding visits.

How early should I arrive?

If this is your first visit, you should arrive at least 30 minutes before your appointment. That will give you ample time to fill out your paperwork before your scheduled appointment. You may also fill out your forms before you arrive.

How should I prepare? Can I eat before my visit?

Preparation will vary based on what is planned for your visit. When scheduling your appointment, if we have not answered all of your questions, we encourage you to ask us about anything that you are unclear about.

What do I need to bring?

You should bring your recent chest x-rays, CT scans, lab work, medical records pertaining to pulmonary problems and any medications you are taking. If you have any questions regarding what you should bring, please contact us.

Can I fill out forms ahead of time and bring them with me?

Yes. Filling out your forms before you arrive will save you time.

Where are you located?

We have several locations. If you are not sure which location you are scheduled to visit, or where the building is located, you can see all of our locations or contact us and we will guide you.

If I have to reschedule or cancel, how much notice is required and am I charged?

Please let us know as soon as possible when rescheduling your appointment. We will be sure to inform you regarding any charges if applicable.

What happens if my doctor is out on an emergency call?

On rare occasion our doctors must attend emergency calls. If this happens during your scheduled appointment time, our receptionist will be happy to schedule you in our first available appointment that is convenient for you.

Payment & Insurance

We will file all insurance claims for patients; however, the patient is responsible for payment of the deductible and copayment at the time of service. We are aware that illness is sometimes accompanied by financial difficulties and we will work with our patients who are experiencing these difficulties. Arrangements may be made after considerations of individual circumstances.

However, you must make formal arrangements with our office before services are rendered. Once again, we will work with you regarding balances on your account, but ultimately, you are responsible for your bills as insurance coverage is a contract between you and your carrier.

Charges are based on the nature of your illness, and payment is due at the time of service.
